Dick Lowe is the founder and a shareholder of Lowe Law Firm, PC.  Dick has been practicing law for over 36 years. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.  Dick received a Juris Doctorate degree in 1980 from Wayne State University Law School graduating cum laude and received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in 1977 from Albion College and University of Michigan graduating magna cum laude.  He previously was a CPA with the international firm of Price Waterhouse & Co.  Dick combines the training in both disciplines with his extensive experience in several interrelated practice areas to give him the unique ability to rapidly synthesize complex issues and craft solutions.

Dick is recognized as one of Michigan’s “best lawyers” in taxation, trusts and estates areas in the publication “Best Lawyers in America” published by Woodward and White. He was designated as one of Michigan’s Super Lawyers in the fields of estate planning, probate and mergers and acquisitions. He was elected as a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a national organization of approximately 2,600 lawyers who were elected by their peers based on the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. Fellow lawyers have given Dick the highest rating, “AV”, maintained by Martindale-Hubbell. Dick is a former chair of the Probate & Estate Planning Section of the State Bar of Michigan which Section consists of the largest group of Michigan lawyers.

Dick is editor and co-author of Michigan Revocable Grantor Trusts, 2d Ed, and is a lecturer for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education in the areas of business law, tax, probate and estate planning.

From 1982 to 1994 Dick served as a Trustee for the Potterville Public Schools Board of Education and during 1989 through 1991 he served as President of Foster Boat Works Condo Association.
